This artwork explores the emotions of loss that follow the death of a child. Sewing, as a repetitive act, evokes a sense of calm and inner peace. Through stitching the silence that follows loss—and the emotions we were unable to express—we are able to begin mending some of the wounds left behind by grief.

The interwoven layers of thread embody the depth of sorrow carried by generations of women, revealing the hidden bonds that connect us from the womb. In every stitch lies a release of the traumas within us and those who came before us, transforming the act of embroidery into a timeless ritual of healing.
